Purposes, legal basis and legitimate interests
Personal data is processed for the purpose of performing the mandate to carry out advocate's activities under the Polish Act on the Bar of 26 May 1982, on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance) and Article 9(2)(f) GDPR (establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims). Data referred to in Article 10 GDPR is processed under the supervision of the public authority - in this case, the Warsaw Bar Council. Data has been provided voluntarily.
Recipients of data
Your personal data may be disclosed to entities and authorities to which the Controller is obliged or authorised to disclose your data under generally applicable law (including courts and state authorities). Data may also be transferred to processors acting on behalf of the Controller - including service providers, economic information bureaus and debt-collection processors - who process data on the basis of a contract with the Controller and exclusively in accordance with the Controller's instructions.
Retention period
Your personal data will be retained until the limitation period for claims arising from the contract or the provision of services has expired, or until the obligation to retain data under applicable law has lapsed - in particular, the obligation to retain accounting documents related to the contract and data collected for the application of financial security measures.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it rectified or supplemented, to restrict its processing or to have it erased. You also have the right to data portability and, where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for data protection.
Right to object
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data where processing is based on the Controller's legitimate interest or for statistical purposes, provided the objection is justified by your particular situation.
Transfers outside the EEA
Your personal data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Should such a transfer become necessary, it will be carried out under appropriate legal safeguards, namely the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Provision of your personal data was voluntary but necessary for the conclusion and performance of the commissioned legal advisory services.
